If you play golf yourself or even have a keen interest in the game of golf, you have no doubt heard about the PGA championship golf tournament, which is sometimes known outside of the United States as the U.S. PGA Championship. It is one of the largest golf tournaments arranged by the Professional Golf Association (PGA).
The PGA Championship is golf's final major each year and is held mid-August, concluding on the 4th Sunday after the Open Championship (The British Open). There have been some exceptions during the years of 2007 and 2008 which have been mainly due to some local scheduling conflicts.
There are four major golf tournaments, and within these four, the PGA Championship is considered to be one of the best because it has the strongest field of any of the majors.

For example, the winner can play automatically in the other 3 golf majors for the next 5 years. Plus, they can play on either the US PGA Tour or European Tour for the next 5 years automatically. So winning the PGA Championship can give a golfer great financial security for many years to come.
If you would like to go to a golf major you should try to get to the PGA Championship, because it has one of the strongest fields in golf and the prices to get in are normally less than it costs to go to any of the 3 other golf majors. So for these reasons this is one of the best majors to go to see.
