Wedding time is choice time. So many things you have to pick. Peach or sea foam for the bridesmaids' dresses' You have so many decisions are coming. Church or garden' Red roses or white roses'. It is your day but you want everybody to enjoy it and to be as happy as you are. You want them to remember it for a long time. You want to make sure it is planned down to the last detail and that everything chosen was picked for a reason. You picked it to help make the day perfect. There was a reason you went with bath wedding favors or maybe soap wedding favors.
Bath wedding favors and soap favors work well. They will get used and not just tossed in a drawer and for gotten. They will get used and your guest will remember your wedding day. Do you know why' It's the smell (well, really more of a scent). It is the strongest of memory triggers. Once you pick what type of wedding you are going to have you can start thinking of your favors. First, identify the scent. When you are picturing your wedding think of the smells and start from there. Then, think of how you can lightly add that scent to your wedding. A little scented potpourri that echoes what you imagined. Then find a bath or soap favors that are the same. Every time your guests smell lavender or sandalwood or vanilla they will think you your wedding. Go forward and warp their minds!!!
Spring, of course, is a no brainer. You almost have to go with a light floral. All those little flowers are blooming in the garden. Your guests are already thinking of flower before they catch the first whiff. You might want to add a few more tones to it but light floral needs to be its heart. Strawberry, maybe' It has a youthful, fresh feel to it. Maybe something that has a little grassiness to it. That gives you the same felling. For summer you can be a bit bolder with a little citrus. Citrus is refreshing and keep you from smelling like a flower patch too much.
Now we proudly march into fall. What does fall smell like? If you are thinking sweaty football players and the livestock expo at the fair you are not getting the hang of this yet. Berries, big juicy berries. Apples too. Now add an earthiness to it. Bingo! Scents have colors. That sounds odd but they do. If you look at something you have a good guess what it smells like. Think of the colors of fall. Purple for sure. And not just any purple a darker purple. Then golden tan is in there too. Purple is your berries and the tan is the earthiness. See' Now winter has different smells. Think of the colors and find there smells. Well, there is white, vanilla' There is a whole lot of green from the firs and that has a very distinctive smell too.
Now don't go overboard. You want them to use the soap and enjoy it, not attract bugs. Those are just some general rules that can help you find bath and soap favors that they will love and think of your special day when you use them.
