Americans vs europeans?
Why is it that we americans have no social life? I feel like we are in a rat race..i went to eastern Europe & noticed they have more time to hang out at cafes several hours a day have their little coffees all dressed in nice clothes and smoke and talk about world issues politics.They see family more often and extended families are close knit. You see old people at parks playing backgammon or chess like a community. Here after 5 pm the streets are dead no neighbors getting together etc etc..they have beautiful folk songs/dancing like russian dance middle eastern dances..while we listen to rock and gang bang music..no rich culture in our music.its like friends here are not reliable where as friends there are for life and involved in ur family as well. Has anybody else travelled elsewhere noticed this??? Thanks!
Im reading your question as a 16 your old teen sitting at his home in small town Indiana and i dont know where everything went wrong. Im a more popular kid at my high school but i stand out from the crowd and people automatically put you in a group. I have long hair (pot head) i dont listen to all that rap/hip hop/screaming rock/indie crap/kiddy kid pop crap and im the freak. But i guess my personality says otherwise cause they havent mobbed against me.. yet lol. But i dont understand why this country had the lovin 60s, rockin 70s, partying 80s, then had the pull it together/ serious 90s??? America isnt ever going to be like these other countries if the kids dont stop being too absorbed with the band wagon that they all jump on and start livin their own life. Iv been to other countries where families run buisness together, learn essential life skills, and are extremely happy, while i sit in front of a computer rambling on some poor soul's yahoo quetion lol. I believe that everyone needs to follow the words of James Dean, "Dream as if you'll live forever, Live as if you'll die today."
