Is it better to leave the batteries in the camera when its not in use?
I bought a new little digital camera yesterday, It's a Black Pentax Optio E80. I got it to replace my other one that broke 2 years ago haha.. It take AA batteries so when I am not using it should I leave them there or just set them in a little bag and keep it in my bag with the camera?

They are not rechargable, they are just regular Panasonic batteries.
I take the batteries out for two reasons. One, I own an older digital camera and the batteries go dead in no time when stored in the camera. My recent camera is better on batteries but it is so easy to take a few pictures one day, put the camera away, and not take pictures for a month or more. So I take the batteries out every time. I have another digital with different size batteries and it is no problem to leave the batteries in. But cameras with AA's are best left out when not using, in my experience.
I would also recommend some extra rechargeable batteries ( I presume these are the type you are using).
A side note: I also have an Optio but doesn't take AA's...........it's a great camera!
