Too start off, that guy that called you is a jerk, nothing is wrong with labeling creatures and spells differently, the official magic people do it all the time, so don't listen to him 
There are some cards then definitely need to be replaced, I'll just start from the top
Sigiled Paladin - Going to be hard to get the mana you need for a double white, either take them out or only have 1 or 2, aven squire would be a good swap
Guardians of Akrasa - Pretty bad card, you'll find that your attacking creatures will die and you'll have wasted cards on these defenders, Ethercaste Knight would be a good replacement
Dawnray Archer - Just a terrible card, costs way too much, replace with ardent plea
Outrider of Jhess - Another terrible card, costs too much, replace with akrasan squire
Sighted-Caste Sorcerer - There are other cards that are better than him, but it shouldnt be too bad to keep him in
Angelic Benediction - I like your choice to only put in 2, keep those
Marble Chalice - Waste of cards in your deck, life gain only denies the inevitable, and since you need more creatures, replace with mulldrifter
Mindlock Orb - Doesn't really have a point, if you're worried about players searching their libraries, put in Archive Trap
Spell Snip - I think it's a bad card but it may work
Cancel - Replace with 4 Counterspells
Removal Spells (Call to Heel, Oblivion Ring) - The Oblivion Rings are ok, I'd have 4 in, get 4 path to exiles, and journey to nowhere is a good removal, those are all possibilities
Lands - 4 Sejiri Refuge, 4 Glacial Fortress, 6 Plains, 6 Island
If you don't have any of these cards, go to a local gaming store and buy the individual cards, it will be worth it and you'll find you have a decent deck.
