The Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra is a very multimedia oriented phone. The Sony Ericsson C905 on the other hand is a powerful camera phone.
Design
The Tocco Ultra Edition looks very sturdy with its hardy red and silver tinted plastic casing. It has a solid feel and is comfortable to hold. The Sony C905 is available in 4 flamboyant looking colors like Tender Rose, Ice Silver, Copper Gold and Night Black. The plastic casing features metallic stripes on the sides giving the phone a trendy look. Both the Samsung Tocco Ultra and the C905 Cyber Shot offer a slide out keyboard for quick text input.
Touch screen
The face of the Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition is dominated by an OLED 2.8 inch vibrant color screen. The OLED technology provides lucid and vivid images. The Sony Ericsson C905 has a mineral coated scratch proof high resolution display that is only 2.4 inches wide. However the display offers an excellent contrast and brightness that makes viewing a pleasure.
Camera
The Sony Ericsson being a camera phone, its camera facets outperform that of the Samsung Tocco Ultra. The Sony C905 has an 8.1 mega pixel camera that is endowed with video light, auto focus, superior Xenon flash, geo tagging, red eye reduction, smart contrast, face and smile detection, Best Pic and Image stabilizer. These attributes help you take near perfect photographs. The lens of the Tocco Ultra is placed at the end of the handset so taking pictures is difficult and requires odd angles. The handset also has to be slid open to reveal the lens; this also makes for an odd photography position. The camera has few picture enhancement aspects like a flash, auto focus, face detection and geo tagging.
Multimedia facets
The Cyber Shot C905 has an audio player that supports MP3, AAC and MPEG4 audio file formats. The player has a track ID music recognition attribute. It also has a stereo FM radio with inbuilt RDS. It also has Blue tooth connectivity. The Tocco Ultra Edition has a music player with a standard interface. The player offers high audio quality because of the 5.1 Virtual Surround Sound attribute. This phone also supports Blue tooth and has a radio.
The Samsung Tocco Ultra has the ability to record videos in super fast or super slow speed. The Sony Ericsson C905 has video recording ability at 30 fps in QVGA resolution. Both phones have video players.
Internet
The Sony C905 has internet technologies like Wap and Html for enabling fast browsing. It has high speed HSDPA, EDGE and Wi Fi technologies for fast internet connectivity. The Tocco Ultra has internet browsers that allow download of html and xhtml content. It has 3 HSDPA and EDGE technology to provide fast internet connectivity.
The Sony Ericsson C905 and the Tocco Ultra Edition both have GPS facility to enable navigation. Both phones have USB connectivity.
The Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra is a comprehensive entertainment phone. The Sony C905 on the other hand is meant exclusively for the photography aficionados.
