where do I find the rules to star wars miniatures?
I have looked every where. Where do I find the core rules for Star wars Miniatures Rpg
The Star Wars Miniatures game was originally a seperate game from the 2nd Edition Star Wars d20 Role-Playing Game. Where the RPG was a setting for character interaction and story making both in and out of combat situations taking hours, the Miniatures game was strictly a "quick-and-dirty" skirmish of tactical combat bewteen various units that could be played in a half hour or so, with no plot or story involved.

A lot of RPG gamers like to use miniatures as a play-aid for resolving combat using the games. When the Miniatures game first came out they served as a convinient pieces for players of the RPG version, but the games have completely different combat systems. Wizards of the Coast (WOTC) began doing a lot of crossover stats between the two games, and had posted a few "convertions" for the stats of some of the more popular characters and classes in the RPG for use in the Miniature's game.

I can't say for sure, but I think WOTC may have put in a set of official "Crossover Rules" between Miniatures and the 3rd edition RPG so that players can easily substitute the faster Minitures combat rules during game play.
I downloaded all the rules and errata from the official Wizards website a few months ago, but they've been making changes to their website and the links seems to only be partially working. All the main rules seem to be missing now...

There are about 18 files: I think there were 6 rules, 6 checklists, and 6 errata I downloaded from them.
I also downloaded a PDF from a gaming site that gives a tutorial on how to create your own custom Miniatures maps using an art program like Photoshop or Paintshop. I can send that one too if you want.
