But before that, you might want to know why you should consider having to copy Xbox 360 games for yourself. It's merely for a purpose of preservation. For one thing, there have been a lot of issues going around the gaming community that the console can potentially damage the games you've bought if you use them on it long enough. Of course, the original games, being the ones being used often, are always at risk of being scratched or damaged. Either case would mean your game would be damaged and can be so to the point that it can no longer be used. At that point, you've just lost your $60 game.
The first method that you can take to copy Xbox 360 games is to make these copies and save them to your console. That way, they're readily available and you don't have to take your original game out when you want to play. Initially, there is a piece of software called "DVD2BOX" that you have to download before you can begin. Once you've got it installed, it will conveniently be available at your Xbox's dashboard, right under the Applications category. Then go to settings to activate drives F and G. After that, choose the directory where you want to save your games then start the copying process.
The second way to copy Xbox 360 games involves copying the games to a separate hard drive. It's a bit different from the first one but it's just as simple. You're going to need an Ethernet cable, which you will have to use to connect your console to your PC. Next, copy the games to your PC. Using an ISO-creating application which you can download almost anywhere on the internet, make ISO files of these copies and then burn them to either a DVD-R/RW or CD-R/RW. Make sure you're using software that can burn Xbox compatible discs.
Once the burning process is done, that's your copy. After that, you're pretty much done with the process. Next time you want to copy Xbox 360 games, just keep the steps above for both methods in mind. Having copies of all the games you've owned so far will not only ensure that you'll be able to play these games longer even after the originals have worn out, but you can also display your own collection at your place, which is practically a dream among most gamers.
