The new factions of the cataclysm expansion have the same benefits as many of the original ones have. For example, you can gain required rep by doing quests when leveling and during daily activities. You will unlock certain types of rewards such as gear when completing certain dungeons or when you wear a tabard that champions their cause. Keep reading to learn more about the horde version of the new factions. Find out where they are located and what can be purchased from their quartermasters based on the level of reputation they hold, which include Friendly, Honored, Revered and Exalted.
The Ramkahen People
The Ramkahen people can be found inside of Uldum. Once friendly status has been achieved you can purchase Tabard of Ramkahen which will increase rep gained while in Cataclysm dungeons. At Honored standing you can purchase Belt of the Stargazer, Drystone Greaves, Shroud of the Dead and Ammunae's Blessing. Once Revered you can purchase Arcanum of the Ramkahen, Robes of Orsis, Red Rock Band, Quicksand Belt and Sash of Prophecy. After hitting Exalted you can purchase Desert Walker Sandals, Sandguard Bracers, Sun King's Girdle and Gift of Nadum. There is also a camel mount you can acquire once Exalted status has been reached.
The Dragonmaw Clan Quartermaster
The Dragonmaw Clan quartermaster can be found in Bloodgultch. With a friendly reputation you can buy Tabard of the Dragonmaw Clan. When worn inside cataclysm instances it will increase you rep. At honored level you can buy Helm of the Brown Lands, Bone Fever Gloves, Leggings of the Impenitent and Spaulders of the Endless Plains. Once Revered you can buy Acanum of the Dragonmaw, Band of Lamenation, Grinning Fang Helm, Snarling Helm and Gauntlets of the Rattling Bones. Once you receive Exalted reputation, you can buy Withered Dream Belt, Boots of Sullen Rock, Liar's Handwraps and Yellow Smoke Pendant.
The Guardians of Hyjal Quartermaster
The Guardians of Hyjal quartermaster is found inside the building with Ysera in Nordrassil. As with all factions you can acquire a tabard at friendly status. At Honored level, you can receive Cloask of the Dryads, Sly Fox Jerkin, Galrond's Band and Mountain's Mouth. At revered you can receive Arcorn of the Daughter Tree, Aessina-Blessed Gloves, Waywatchers Boots, Wilderness Legguards and Arcanum of Hyjal. When you reach Exalted level, you can receive Treads of Malorne, Belt of the Ferocious Wolf, Cord of the Raven Queen and Wrap of the Great Turtle.
The Earthen Ring Quartermaster
The Earthen Ring quartermaster is quite a challenge to find. Inside of Vashj'ir, in the shimmering expanse zone near the silver tide hollow, you'll find an underwater cave. This is where the quartermaster is located. Tabard of the Earthen Ring is picked up at friendly status here as well. At Honored level, you can get Stone-Wrapped Greaves, Mantle of Moss, Pendant of Elemental Balance and Helm of Temperance.
When you reach Revered level, you can get Arcanum of the Earthen Ring, Peacemaker's Breastplate, Leggings of Clutching Roots, Cloack of Ancient Wisdom and Softwind Cape. When your character reaches Exalted level, Earthmender's Boots, World Keeper's Gauntlets, Flamebloom Gloves and Signet of the Elder Council can be bought.
Hellscream's Reach
Hellscream's Reach is a pvp based Faction found in Tol'Barad. Begin by looking for the vendor Pogg inside of Hellscreams Grasp. Everything from this vendor is bought with Tol Barad Commendation tokens, not gold. At Friendly level you can purchase Hellscream's Reach Commendation, Hellscream's Reach Mana and healing potions along with Hellscream's Reach Bandage. At Honored you can buy Hellscream's Reach Tabard, Tol Barad Searchlight, Baradin Grunt's Talisman and a Rustberg Gull pet.
Once Revered level is reached, you can go pick up Hellscream's Reach Battle Standard, Blade of the Fearless, Dagger of Restless Nights, Ravening Slicer, Spear of Trailing Shadows, Sky Piercer, Shimmering Morningstar and Insidious Staff. With an Exalted reputation you can acquire Mandala of Stirring Patterns, Mirror of Broken Images, Impatience of Youth, Stump of Time, Unsolvable Riddle, Reins of the Spectral Wolf and Reinds of the Drake of the West Wind.
You should now have a better understanding of the Horde Faction in cataclysm. The more you know about the different factions the easier it will be to choose the one you want to play and the more successful you can be.
