Bingo has been the age old favorite game of many people around the world for decades. It has been the favorite past time in the UK and US and there are a variety of Bingo games like 75 ball, 80 ball and 90 ball bingo games. Out of them the 75 ball bingo game has often been considered the easiest to play among all the table games in a casino. In this game there is a specially designed card which contains a set of unique numbers arranged in a grid or square. In the UK the bingo scenario is a bit different from the US, as bigger 90 balls are used in the UK as compared to the numbers 1-75 which are used in the US.
A pre-requisite of the game in the US is the completion of the specific pattern on the bingo card as is required or set by the rule masters of the game just before the start of the game. This pattern can be anything ranging from a simple straight line to a more complicated but popular process of ticking off every number found on the bingo card.
At the beginning once a player has purchased a bingo card he would be required to wait with his card for the pattern that he is supposed to form on his card based on the requirement of the bingo game that he is about to enter. These patterns are set by the official game master who is also known as the game caller.
From the old days bingo cards have always been made up of cardboard or any other recycled material and its measurement have remained a strict five by five. The card is divided into 25 equal squares which are divided among ten rows and five vertical columns. Each square is provided a number between 1 and 75 and the middle square is kept empty and acts as a bonus for the player.
The word BINGO is printed clearly above the five vertical rows in each of the bingo cards. Each of these letters has their own range of 15 numbers arranged in the vertical column below it. The range goes like this- for B numbers 1-15 can be filled up in the column below it, for I numbers 16-30, for N numbers 31-45, for G numbers 46-60 and O carries numbers 61-75.
The game officially begins when the caller selects a ball at random from the container containing all the balls marked 1-75. Inside the container the balls continue to spin constantly due to the special spinning mechanism inside. Once the ball is selected it is quickly set aside to avoid the possibility of it slipping down and being mixed up with the other balls.
After the number of the ball is known to the players all the players are supposed to match the numbers with the ones in their bingo card. If any number matches then they are supposed to tick the number with special marker pens called daubers.
After the initial draw the caller continues to draw balls one by one and the contestants will have to go on marking the numbers if they match. A problem with traditional bingo was that sometimes this process was too fast and people would lose track of the numbers. But in online bingo nowadays all the numbers appear on the screen so it becomes quite easy for the players.
The ball drawing and calling process continues till one player completes the pattern set for that game. He immediately shouts bingo to stop the caller from pulling out more balls.
