If Christians....?
have no problem in believing in the Christian God with no evidence of its existence, wouldnt it be no problem for them as well in believing in other Gods with no evidence of thier existence either? Why not believe in the Poker God, why not believe in the Lord of Nightmares, which is the God in an anime series. Why not believe in the God of PopCorn? I mean they all have no evidence to support thier existence, yet Christians seem so sure that this one and only God exists, without considering the possiblity that others may exist. --- Just a simple question for Christians, no offense in meant by it. Thx to all that answer truthfully, and not sugar coating it.

I have NO DOUBT that what I am about to say will go in one ear and out the other, because frankly you strike me as someone whose mind is made up, facts be damned.
You begin your scread with THIS sentence: "If Christians have no problem in believing in the Christian God with no evidence of its existence...." That is quite possibly THE most repeated lie there is about Christians. Atheists would have the mind-numbed, unthinking, non-concentrating world believe that there is ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE for the existence of God. Someone said it and someone else believed it and it took off from there.
Here is an analogy for you. Say I hand you a police report from an accident that happened 5 years ago. It tells you precisely where the accident took place. It tells you the names of the two drivers involved. It tells you the particular makes, models, and years of the cars involved. It names the eyewitnesses to the accident. It gives a summary of their accounts, PLUS a summary of the accounts of the drivers involved. It states the time of day, the date, the city, the state, and even the weather conditions at the time of the accident. Accident reports can be quite comprehensive.
Now, I ask you ... do you believe that this accident took place? What are you going to say? OF COURSE you believe it! You have no reason not to!
What would you say if someone else called you and idiot for believing in that accident without ANY EVIDENCE that it ever took place? You would think he's nuts! You would point to that accident report as EVIDENCE, to the contents as EVIDENCE. The specificity would be further evidence.
Do you realize how many people lived in Biblical times that EITHER wrote their eyewitness testimonials to the existence of FIRST God then later Jesus, as the son of God? Do you have ANY idea how precise these people were with names, places, dates, events, etc.? They were there! They stated the facts as they knew them! And you know what? The Bible (the police report if you will) EVEN acknowledges that some denied some of the facts IN THE DAY, AT THE TIME!!! Wow, what evidence!
But you know what is really amazing? For 2,000 years before the birth of Jesus people were speaking and writing about God and ... follow me here ... there is not to my knowledge ONE--not ONE!--atheistic writing in those times! Think about that! The existence of God back then was very much matter-of-fact. NOW you ignore all of that and say in effect there is no God, there was no God, there never has been a God. There has NEVER been any evidence to back it up, because ... well, you don't believe.
Let's say you are married. If I put a noose around your neck and said, DENY that you are married or I will hang you NOW. Would you stick to the truth that you are married or would you lie to save your own neck? A lot of people would deny the truth in order to save their own skins! Do you realize that the 12 disciples were all killed for the supposed lies that they told about Jesus being God? I mean Jesus was given every opportunity to renounce the suppose lie, but refused. And he died a horrible death for his refusal. But don't lose sight of the fact that 11 other disciples (Judas betrayed Jesus) went to terrible murderous deaths for the same cause.
And JUST LIKE in the years where eyewitnesses wrote about God and no one came forward to say this is a joke, this never happened, the same thing happened with Jesus. The ONLY dispute about Jesus was from the Jews saying he CAN'T be the Messiah because ...
There have been clinical studies, identical in every way, to clinical studies that YOU trust and believe in that have proved that prayer works for people. In other words, in double-blind studies sick people who were prayed for got better faster and more often than those not prayed for. If this was a new drug to hit the market, you'd be all over it! But since it's about a God that you deny, you must ignore it.
The facts are these. Christians today do NOT believe based on just some silly word of mouth. God KNOWS hearts, doubts, fears, and even the evil of denial. God slam dunk proved that He exists and with more than 400 Old Testament prophecies to the coming of Jesus fulfilled BY the coming of Jesus, God slam dunked that proof to. And you deny? You don't even know what you deny. You don't know why you deny. You are in fact a mouth piece for the devil.
Go forth and spread your lies. Mock Christian and persecute us. I am willing to die for my evidence-based belief in God. If there was a gun to your head now, are you telling me that you would say, "Go ahead! Pull the trigger! I will NEVER say that there's a God, because there is NO EVIDENCE to prove it!" I doubt it! But talk in Yahoo Answers is cheap. And your shots at Christians are even cheaper.

By definition, there can only be ONE God. The number one element of a God, any God, is that He is ALL POWERFUL. How can two "gods" coexist, sharing a power that each claims is all his? That's logical folly! It would reduce these "two gods" to pathetic liars. "I'M all powerful!" "No, I'M all powerful!" That would be the god equivalent of a cat fat! LOL!
EITHER there is no God or one God. Those are the only two choices.
