War over time has been rightly referred to as an art and those who have successfully prosecuted it at different times have had to observe certain rules in constructing a mindset that helped perpetuate victory until they achieved legendary status. Almost every soldier who has been to a battle field would tell you wars have their own peculiarities and it would take a mind that is not easily daunted to achieve victory. The mindset of a warrior goes a long way in determining various elements deployed such as how they fight, what they consider and a whole lot of other things including conserving energy, and channeling passion the right way.
First it is pertinent to discuss how successful warriors fight. They do not behave as people beating their fists against the wind as they often have a well detailed strategy of executing the war, especially with a positive mindset always targeted towards winning. These they often do by organizing their army into ranks always insisting that the ranks be kept sacrosanct as it is a very necessary protocol involved in effective combat tactics and successful enemy engagement process.
It is also very necessary to consider certain points no matter how brief in this particular discuss. A warrior with the right intentions of one day becoming a legend must understand that it is very important to conserve energy rather than waste it on quite unnecessary things. For example it would rightly take the woman to run the home, having the warrior husband only be a silent but relevant force in the background, while he really is the source of every decision taken although the woman is the one who gets to implement them; even if she passes across to the observer as the one in charge. The home should be a place where the warrior enjoys being the strategist, and his other half the executor.
A second but very useful point is that a warrior must cherish his body. This is a key fact very synonymous to a third effectual point of cherishing your weapons and they are both complementary points deserving to be discussed together. The same way a musician knows there is a limit to what he or she can consume to maintain the sweet voice which the fans cherish and the instruments involved in producing the scintillating tunes; the warrior must realize that a body kept in good shape works better in the battle ground, same for the sword, bow or chariot well maintained. Both these issues only point in one direction namely self-discipline. This is effectively ensured by implementing certain protocols and principles which must be well set out, coupled with the determination to observe them even without anyone monitoring if they are observed or not.
Developing a legendary warrior mindset also means that the warrior must understand that there is grace in maintaining composure even in the midst of chaos, meaning he must not be easily perturbed. Often things which set out looking unconquerable fall apart within a little time but it would take a strong mind to outlast the interval in between, because it plays out along the line of psychology involving body language and signals sent in opposite directions. if the problem succeeds in sending its own desired message across to the warrior, it weakens him in the process,and once it can get to him, then body language takes over and does the rest business of getting at the surrounding officers or the warrior's back-up. Now all of these can be prevented if the warrior can learn to keep calm in the face of trouble even when lacking clues, it buys him the time to think and prevents a weakening in rank by preventing wrong signals or body language. This is basically summed up in one quote "always bid your time and try not to act impulsively, although know when to follow your instinct".
Other great tips important for developing a legendary warrior mindset include; keeping an open and analytical mind, your eyes open and keenly observing, and learn to learn lessons at every opportunity to do so, even in the least likely of events. The warrior who perpetuates victory over a long time would eventually turn out a legend, but it is worthy of note that the right mindset is key.
