Copag Plastic Playing Cards are long lasting, easy to clean and deal very nicely. They have the feel of paper cards while retaining the durability of plastic playing cards. They are high quality cards that can handle a lot of bending and also are less affected by the heat, if you're holding them in hot conditions for a long time.
Copag playing became the official cards of the World Series of Poker in 2005 though in 2007 they were replaced by KEM playing cards as the official playing cards. Even then, they are considered the best for playing poker by some profession poker players.
Copag plastic playing cards are more expensive than the standard deck of cards. You can buy a deck of Bicycle playing cards for example for about $1.25. However, Copag playing cards will cost you about $13 for two decks ($6.5/deck). That is a difference of over $4 in the two.
In comparison to KEM plastic playing cards which you can get for $15 for two decks, Copag are a bit cheaper. Whether they match them in terms of quality (or are better) is debatable. The difference if present is not very significant, though both sets have a loyal set of users that swear by the superiority of their preferred set.
The premium is not worth it if you're a non serious, occasional player (playing less than once a week). But if you're a more serious and regular player and especially if you're a poker enthusiast, then after playing with these cards, it will be difficult for you to shift to the cheaper variety.
