Air Force?
I understand what the job of the army, navy and marines is. I understand what each entry level soldier in that branch does. what don't quit understand is what exactly the air force does as a whole. the navy has navy pilots, and navy fighter jets. I understand the air force operates some more advanced machinery, but what does most airmen do when the graduate BCT exactly?
I dont know what the "average" Air Men does but I can tell you what I saw..
Some worked on making pallets for our gear and equipment..They would stack all of our trash and then secure it with a net of sorts..
Some operate heave machinery..They move these pallets and equipment around to be loaded..
Others would guide us as we drove our Hummers into the aircraft..Always a scary process because if we hit the jet than we will never hear the end of it..
Alot of times they were loading helos, vehicles, pallets into the C-5 or other jets..and when we would fly on the aircraft they would sleep just like we would..but first they gave us nasty box lunches..
